FireCal Terms of Service

Welcome to FireCal. By downloading, installing, or using this app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. About FireCal

FireCal is a calendar and shift planning app designed for NSW Fire & Rescue firefighters and their families. It is developed and maintained by an independent developer based in New South Wales, Australia.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using FireCal, you confirm that:

• You are at least 13 years of age
• You agree to be bound by these Terms
• You will use the app in accordance with applicable laws

3. Use of the App

3.1 License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use FireCal for personal, non-commercial purposes.

3.2 Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or tamper with the app
• Use the app in any way that could damage or impair its functionality
• Redistribute or resell the app or any part of it

3.3 User Content

Any notes, timesheets, PCOS or other content you create within the app remains yours. This content is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 FireCal Pro

FireCal offers optional premium features through a subscription called "FireCal Pro". Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

4.2 Billing

• Subscription fees are charged through your app store account
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Prices may vary by region and are displayed in your local currency

4.3 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective policies. We do not process refunds directly.

4.4 Trial Period

We may offer a free trial period. At the end of the trial, standard subscription terms apply unless you cancel.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

FireCal is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We do not warrant that:

• The app will be error-free or uninterrupted
• The shift patterns or calculations will be 100% accurate
• The app will meet your specific requirements

Important: FireCal is a planning tool only. Always verify shift information with official FRNSW rosters and communications.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, revenue, or profits
• Damages arising from your use or inability to use the app

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, graphics, and code within FireCal are owned by the developer and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without permission.

8. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for information on how we collect and use data.

9. Changes to the App

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app at any time
• Update features, pricing, or functionality without prior notice
